Thank you for all of the new shares and views as people are spreading the word that we exist and we are opening up tomorrow! Just a few quick status updates - as of right now we have not sync’d website to store inventory since before Helene. There could be some stock irregularities online. We also don’t have internet or phone service. If you are in need of something specific please email or give us a couple more days until all services are restored and I will answer any and every call. We are pretty well stocked as we were preparing for our regular busy season and we have a handful of shipments arriving in the next couple days that aren’t yet on our website. Thank you for all of your support and we hope to see you soon!

Milton was worse than Helene for our house, about

Milton was worse than Helene for our house, about 10” higher flooding than Helene but the shop thankfully is dry and sustained no damage. We will continue to work on the house but we need to get the shop opened in the meantime. Right now we have power, but no internet. We look to be open tomorrow SAT 10/12 from 10-2. Depending on internet status we may be cash or check only.

Many of our friends have asked how to help and the biggest help that you can give is your patronage. Tell your neighbor who just moved here and plays tennis or pickleball that we are open for business! If you have been thinking about a new racquet, paddle or a pair of shoes we will take excellent care of you. I have special empathy for anyone affected by either of these storms - wishing you the best and I hope one day we can give back as much as we have received. I also hope that your facilities did well so that you can all get back to playing and get us back to work! If you haven’t noticed, tennis might be suspended at Gilchrist park for a while...

We will keep you updated and hopefully will be able to maintain the regular hours from our last email if all goes well. Once again please support your local businesses - downtown took quite a shot from Milton and they need our support more than ever.

We will be closed until after Hurricane Milton passes. Right now everything at the shop is off the ground and piled high in the event of more flooding. With little to no damage we would love to be open rather immediately. Wishing the best to everyone in the path of the storm and we will do our best to communicate as early as possible.

Our family is safe, but our home was flooded by Hu

Our family is safe, but our home was flooded by Hurricane Helene. Flood waters that were fairly low and similar to other storms that we had experienced unexpectedly rose a few feet in less than 30 minutes. We grabbed the sleeping kids out of bed as water was rushing into parts of our house and miraculously drove through feet of water in my truck to high ground. We are spending the next few days cleaning out our property and preparing for interior demolition of drywall, baseboards, kitchen cabinets.

Thankfully the shop was completely unharmed by Hurricane Helene outside of no internet yet which makes it difficult to process payment, manage stringing and inventory etc.

Please be aware that no product will be shipping during this time, although our website is still available to accept orders that will ship on 10/1. Any restrings will be available for pickup on the 10/1. Any outstanding demos will be extended without penalty.

We are typically rather private but I have included more detail than usual in this email because I know people (especially our friends up North) will be curious as to the details and we are working nonstop to remedy the situation. Our heart goes out to the many up and down the coast who experiencing what we have experienced as well.

Thank you to all of our valued customers and friends for your support as we work through to rebuild and we are looking forward to the normalcy of stringing racquets and talking about tennis and pickleball with you!
